Grande Ronde Association for Youth (GRAY) was formed October 2, 2000 as a way to improve the athletic and activities sites and opportunities in Union County for our Youth.
GRAY supports youth sports and community programs throughout Union County, Oregon by providing funding, coordination, and facility improvements.
Current project:
Renovation of the Splash Pad at Memorial Pool in Pioneer Park
Projects we have been involved in are varied and include:
Purchase of the Riveria School from LaGrande School District, keeping the Gym available for our Youth now called Riveria Activity Center (RAC)
Enhancements in the field house at Union High School baseball and softball facility
Resurfacing of the track at LaGrande High School
Purchase of a pre-seeder to improve our athletic fields
New energy efficient lighting for RAC gym
Imbler High School Volleyball Nets
Development of Scott Stephens Baseball field at Pioneer Park
Assisted in sponsorship of Drug Free Relay
Construction of new concession stand at Pioneer Park
Sponsored "Bend not Break Suicide Prevention" event
Replacement of the play ground equipment at Riverside Park
Our Mission
We facilitate the acquisition and improvement of sporting facilities in the Grande Ronde Valley of Oregon and support youth programs that promote healthy development
